Luca Salvadori Cremona 1998
Luca Salvadori has been making instruments in Cremona since he graduated from the city's renowned School of Lutherie in 1982. His instruments have won awards and medals at the following violin making competitions: 1990 and 1992 Bagnacavallo, 1999 Baveno, 2000 Cremona Triennial, 2000 Violin Society of America, 2001 Mittenwald, 2004 Violin Society of America, and 2004 Paris Violin Making Competition.
Savadori's instruments are exceptionally cleanly executed with even, consistently applied varnish.
This violin is characteristic of his work. It is a handsome Strad model with broad shoulders and beautifully cut f-holes. The finish is subtly antiqued with vibrant orange-brown varnish.
